Philippines: Line 1 North Extension Project Manila

The Government of the Republic of the Philippines has decided to seamlessly connect the existing Light Rail Line 1 to Line 3 in Manila by constructing 3 new stations. This project has been identified as the Line 1 North Extension Project.

Those 3 new stations are equipped by Prodata Mobility Systems with Passenger Agent Booths (Point of sales) and Automated Gates accepting magnetic tickets. As a future expansion, all gates will be equipped with contactless card readers in order to smoothly introduce smart cards in the future.

The equipment is fully compatible with the existing back-office system delivered as part of the initial Line 1 project. The scope of the project contains the hardware and software for the Automated Gates, Passenger Agent Machines, station workstations and interoperability with existing back-office system.
